How it can cause tiredness
Testosterone plays a role in energy levels, muscle function and physical performance. Low testosterone can therefore be associated with persistent tiredness, reduced energy, lower exercise capacity and feelings of weakness or low motivation.
What we test
We measure total testosterone, SHBG and albumin. Together, these results are used to calculate free testosterone, providing a more detailed picture of your testosterone status than total testosterone alone.
How it can cause tiredness
Thyroid hormones help regulate your metabolism and overall activity levels. Both an underactive and overactive thyroid can contribute to tiredness. An underactive thyroid can slow metabolism, while an overactive thyroid can disrupt processes such as sleep and leave you feeling exhausted.
What we test
We measure TSH, a key marker used to assess thyroid function.
How it can cause tiredness
Vitamin D is involved in muscle function, energy metabolism, immune function and other processes throughout the body. Low vitamin D levels can be associated with muscle weakness, low energy and tiredness.
What we test
We measure your vitamin D level to assess your vitamin D status and identify a potential deficiency.
How it can cause tiredness
Iron is essential for transporting oxygen and producing energy. When iron stores are low, energy production can become less efficient and muscles may receive less oxygen. This can contribute to weakness, reduced physical performance and tiredness, even before anaemia develops.
What we test
We measure ferritin, a protein that stores iron and is commonly used to assess your body's iron stores and identify possible iron deficiency.
How it can cause tiredness
Your kidneys help regulate the body's fluid balance and remove metabolic waste products. If kidney function is reduced, changes in fluid balance or the accumulation of waste products can contribute to tiredness.
What we test
We measure creatinine, a marker commonly used to assess kidney function.
How it can cause tiredness
The liver plays an important role in metabolism and in processing substances that need to be removed from the body. Changes in liver function can interfere with these processes and may be associated with tiredness.
What we test
We measure ALT, an enzyme commonly used as a marker when assessing liver function.
How it can cause tiredness
Inflammation or infection activates the immune system and requires energy from the body. If this activity persists, it can contribute to ongoing tiredness and low energy.
What we test
We measure CRP, a non-specific marker of inflammatory activity that can indicate whether inflammation or an infection may be present.

Key facts about this test Key facts about this test
This bundle includes two tests that together assess common causes of tiredness in men
- Testosterone Check: measures total testosterone, SHBG and albumin and calculates free testosterone to give you a comprehensive picture of your testosterone status.
- 360° Fatigue Check: tests for six common factors associated with persistent tiredness, including vitamin and nutrient deficiencies, thyroid function, inflammation as well as liver and kidney markers.
Together, the two tests cover several common factors that can be relevant when investigating persistent tiredness or low energy in men:
- Testosterone status
Total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG and albumin provide a detailed picture of your testosterone status. Free testosterone is calculated using your total testosterone, SHBG and albumin results. - Vitamin & nutrient status
Ferritin provides information about your iron stores, while vitamin D measures your vitamin D status. Deficiencies in either can be associated with tiredness and low energy. - Thyroid function
TSH is a key marker used to assess thyroid function. Changes in thyroid function can affect metabolism and energy levels. - Inflammation & immune activity
CRP is a non-specific marker of inflammatory activity and can provide an indication of whether inflammation or an infection may be contributing to persistent tiredness. - Kidney function
Creatinine provides information about kidney function, which plays an important role in maintaining the body's fluid balance and removing metabolic waste products. - Liver function
ALT is an enzyme used as a marker of liver function. Changes in liver function can affect metabolic processes and may be associated with tiredness.
Your results will be available online 2–3 working days after sending in your sample.
You receive separate results for both tests, helping you understand your testosterone status as well as other common factors that may be contributing to persistent tiredness or low energy.
