What it tests for

Parameters this test checks to identify common health risks

Overall state of health

CRP

Checks for acute (e.g. baterical infection) and chronic inflammation (such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus).

Cardiovascular health

Lipid panel

Measures trygylcerides, high-density lipoprotein (also called "good cholesterol") and low-density lipoprotein (also called "bad cholesterol"). HDL is called "good" because it collects fatty acid in your blood vessels and brings them back to the liver for processing and removal. LDL is called "bad" because too much of it in can lead to a buildup of plaque in your arteries, putting you at risk of heart disease, diabetes, or stroke.

Kidney health

Kreatinin

Indicates how well kidneys are performing their job of filtering waste from the blood.

Liver health

ALT

Important liver enzyme, gets released into the blood stream when liver tissue is damaged. May indicate compromised liver function (e.g. removing toxins from blood, making proteins, storing vitamins and iron).

Energy & metabolic health (diabetes)

Ferritin
Indicates how much iron the body stores. Indicator for iron deficiency. Iron deficiency negatively impacts the body´s ability to transport oxygen & thereby makes you tired.

Hb1Ac (Diabetes indicator)
Reflects average blood sugar level for the past two to three months, indicator for diabetes risk.

Gout

Uric acid

Indicates risk for gout by measuring uric acid.

Colorectal Cancer

Blood in your stool

The second test included in this combination package is our Colon Cancer Screening test. It checks for human blood in your stool, which is an early indicator for colorectal cancer.

Based on official recommendations of the Swiss Cancer League, a colon cancer screening test should be taken every 2 years by people over 50.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in both men and women. However, when detected early through the FIT test, boasts an 90% five-year survival rate. This means that individuals who identify and address potential issues early on have a significantly higher chance of overcoming the disease and enjoying a long and healthy life.

Important to know: If you test positive - that means, human blood was detected in your stool - don't panic. Testing positive does NOT necessarily mean that you have cancer. It means that you should go see a doctor to undergo additional diagnostics like a colonoscopy. Blood in your stool can also have other, much less serious causes.
