Update about the COVID Antibody Test

Thank you for your interest in our COVID Antibody Test!

According to new rules from the BAG, the issuance of a certificate based on a positive COVID Antibody Test may not be allowed, if the person who is testing is taking their own blood sample - as it is the case with our test.

We have contacted the BAG to find a solution and for now stopped sales of the test until we have a clear answer on this and until we have established a solution for all existing customers should the test be ruled inadmissible. We have not received a communication from officials yet regarding the admissibility of the test for issuing a certificate.

We will of course do everything we can to be able to continue offering the service to our customers and to contribute to taking some pressure off of healthcare providers like doctors and pharmacies!

We completely support the intention of the new rules from BAG, which to our understanding, is, to make sure that antibody certificates are only issues if a supervised, medically validated sampling process and an ID check is in place. That is why a video-documentation of the sampling process and an ID check are key elements of our sampling process. Each video is reviewed and validated by a medical professional before a test is approved for analysis with the lab.

We think it is time to work together to end this pandemic. We believe, giving everyone easy access to verified knowledge about their personal COVID immunity status and to relief pressure on the healthcare system with self-service-offerings is an important contribution towards that goal!

Current information

I ordered a test but haven't received it yet. How should I proceed?

All ordered COVID Antibody Tests will arrive latest Monday morning. After you have received your test, you have the following options:

  • 1. You take the blood test and send it to the lab. After we have successfully verified your ID check and sampling video, the sample will be analyzed by the lab and you will receive your results. We can just not issue certificates until there is a decision from official channels.
  • 2. You wait until we notify you if we are able to issue certificates again

I received my test but did not send it in for analysis. How should I proceed?

  • After you have received your test, you have the following options:

I've already sent my sample in for analysis. What will happen?

  • All samples for which we were able to successfully verify your ID check and sampling process, will be analyzed by the lab and you will receive your test results. We can just not issue certificates until there is a decision from official channels. If the decision is positive, certificates will be issued once this decision has arrived.

I received a positive test result but no certificate.

    • We have requested an evaluation of our process with the BAG. Until an official decision has been reached, we will not be issuing certificates for a positive test result. Once we hopefully have received permission to issue certificates, customers with a positive test result will receive their certificate in their Swiss COVID Cert App.

What happens if there will be no approval for the home sampling test process?

      • In this case we work on offering an alternative procedure to still get a certificate. This will be free of charge. All customer who haven't done the test yet will have the opportunity to get a refund. For all customer with a negative Antibody test nothing changes.

Can I get a refund?

      • If you are not willing to wait until an official decision is made you can always ask for a refund. In this case please send an email to covid.antibody@yourself.health and include your Order ID and a refund request. We will process all mails as soon as possible.
